A series of black and white portrait images. The project is an ode to the classic shoe brand and its importance to music and culture since its inception in the 1960s. This shoe has always been a statement of self expression and a symbol of defiance against the powers that be. Here, it is reimagined in the context of soul music and the civil rights movement of the 60s.
